I was curious when a friend of mine was selling her Tuyo Flakes in Olive oil over facebook. I bought a jar since it’s not that expensive. 180 pesos a jar? Not bad right? I’ve been fond of experimenting on pasta in garlic and olive oil for months now but this time with tomatoes and Tuyo Flakes (salted dried herring). Well, it went well so far. Since tuyo is already salty, I didn’t add any salt to this recipe, just pepper to taste. It is very easy to adjust the saltiness of this recipe just by adding grated Parmesan or cheddar cheese. Aglio Olio Pasta is one of the most easy pasta recipe to do. All you have is to cook the pasta the right way for you and toss them to the oil sauce and that’s it.
