Cavite is situated at the south west of Manila and one of the nearest out-of-town place to do Visita Iglesia. I’m very fond of visiting old churches during Holy Week, and it has been a habit of mine to first go to these churches prior to Bisita Iglesia with my family so I can plan the road routes and not waste time on Holy Thursday. It was a boring hot day on a holiday Monday for us when my 2 buddies and I decided to take a road trip to Tagaytay and have late lunch. We already left Las Pinas 12 noon. Since it was a holiday, we want to avoid traffic jams. So what we did is, we took a different route to Tagaytay. A route we haven’t taken before. We took Daang Hari going to Molino, Cavite instead of taking South Super High Way. I was invited by Ron of Towns Delight Catering and Republic of Cavite Restaurant for food tasting an ocular visit to the restaurant. Here I discovered some interesting food like Kinulot na Page (manta ray), Ginataang Tulingan, Basil Fried Rice and Deep Fried Tofu Fish. They do also have good kakanin for dessert like Lihim ni Lola, a purple rice cake with salted egg and cassava filling. It’s called lihim because it is supposed to be a little secret and the only way to discover it is to go grab a piece and unravel the secret for yourself!
