It’s been a while since my last visit to Alabang Town Center in Alabang, Muntinlupa. I live just a few kilometers away from ATC (Alabang Town Center) but still lazy to wander.
I see there’s been construction that’s on going at ATC but I never knew that the new wing had already opened. So I immediately explored the newly built wing and there I discovered John and Yoko.
I’ve been curious about this restaurant since the first time I saw it a few years ago in Greenbelt 5, Makati. I never got a chance to try them out because I thought that since this restaurant is situated at Greenbelt 5, it would be expensive. Through the restaurant interiors, the cosmopolitan style, you would really think that that restaurant is expensive.
Since we were already there and a bit hungry, we decided to try John and Yoko for early dinner. Nice and cozy place to eat, same interiors as Greenbelt 5. Food? Hmmmm now I know, big servings and really worth the cost. 😀
Food at John and Yoko is a Japanese cosmopolitan in style, meaning, it’s a familiar recipe but presented in a different style. When we say Japanese cuisine, it is usually presented in BENTO style or rice in a bowl. Here at John and Yoko, it’s different.
Another is, they have this pizza for example, but the toppings were done in Japanese recipe. Shrimp Enoki Pizza.
One of the best sellers of John and Yoko is the Japaella. A must try! Imagine Paella done in a Japanese way? Filled with grilled prawns, chicken and pork slices topped on paella rice seasoned in teriyaki sauce? This makes John and Yoko different to other traditional Japanese restaurant.
