An Invitation to Remember: Opening of Wolgang’s Steakhouse BGC

I was invited by a friend to attend the opening of Wolfgang Steakhouse at the BGC. I immediately replied a thumbs up on their invitation since  BGC is kinda near to my place and  was really craving for a real steak during that time. I immediately  made a research about this steakhouse and since I’m fond of reading food gossips over the net, I’ve read some nice reviews about this place and I know now what to expect.

The branch opening day came (December 21 2018), I took a day leave from my baking duties because it was Christmas season and I was busy baking. prepared my self for this big day and I even took a very very lite lunch because I’m expecting a wonderful sumptuous dinner.

Wolfgang’s Steakhouse by Wolfgang Zwiener has been casting ripples in the local gastronomic scene since it first opened in the Philippines. Opened by Wolfgang Zwiener after a 40-year history as head waiter at a top New York steakhouse, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse is known to serve some of the best steaks in the world. Filipinos finally got to taste this for themselves when the restaurant’s first Philippine location in Newport Mall, Resorts World Manila, opened in 2016. This was soon followed with the launch of its nineteenth global location in the heart of Ortigas, The Podium.

Being the premier steakhouse globally, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse is sure to enthral the residents and neighborhood foodies of Bonifacio Global City. The restaurant offers strictly USDA Prime Black Angus beef, which is dry-aged on premise under an environment with a controlled temperature and humidity for an average of 28 days. This proprietary process of dry-aging, completed on site to perfection, results in luxurious, meltingly tender and juicy steaks—served sizzling hot with a perfectly caramelized crust. Fresh cuts of meat, hand-picked by the steakhouse, are flown in (chilled, never frozen) each week.

“All our dishes are Instagrammable due to the beauty, abundance and size of our dishes—from the sizzling Porterhouse to the seafood platters the thick slab of bacon to our salads, especially the Wolfgang’s Salad or Beverly Hills Chopped Salad, as well as the scrumptious and decadent desserts including our homemade New York-Style Cheesecake or Apple Strudel a la Mode,” Zwiener shares, expressing that each and every one of the dishes in the Wolfgang’s Steakhouse menu is well worth a double-tap.

Also well worth a try is the Wolfgang’s Steakhouse lunch menu. Among their lunch specials are a variety of salads: the filling, garden-fresh Salad Nicoise, the sirloin-topped Steak Salad, and the refreshing Shrimp and Pomelo Salad which boasts of a distinct Asian flavor, among others. Capturing the true taste of New York are the selection of steaks. Some of the standout steaks in the lunch menu include the classic dry-aged Rib Eye, the Medallions of Filet Mignon with Mushroom Sauce or Au Poivre, and the Wolfgang Lite, which offers a quick lunchtime fix with a smaller portion of filet mignon steak and of the Beverly Hills Chopped Salad. Also on the menu is a mouth-watering selection of pasta, burgers and sandwiches.

Within the first quarter of next year, the revered restaurant will be unveiling new locations: their first European location in Cyprus, their sixth location in New York City, Jakarta, Boston and their third location in Tokyo.
