Experiencing Laiya’s White Cove Beach Resort in San Juan Batangas

Situated in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas, Philippines, one of the best beach places in Laiya, Batangas I ever tried. A place where you can relax and enjoy. They have spacious picnic and camping grounds, white sand frontage, sun deck areas, air conditioned guest bedrooms, club house, dining area and much more.

Before we ( I and my friends) decided to check-in at this resort (White Cove), since our trip is not really planned, we did resort hopping first and check for the right price for us.  Kabayan Beach Resort has a great deal for big bunch of guest. They got  rooms good for 15 guest for only P5,400 for overnight accommodation. Affordable but its too big for us 6. Some of the resorts like Sabangan beach resort, Balai Beach resort, are already fully booked, some are too expensive for us  like Virgin Beach Resort and La Luz.

Here are some pictures of Laiya White Cove Beach Resort in San Juan, Batangas

White Cove
Now we reached the White Cove and decided to give it a try. P4000 a room for six? not bad! good amenities, clean room, relaxing place, friendly staffs and good food! not bad for P4000 huh!

Us six me, Rina, Joey, Pads, Jeff and Fitz enjoying the night at the white Cove picnic grounds while waiting for our food to be served.

went to Laiya, White Cove this holy week and I was really disappointed. The place is nice but the crew is not so friendly. When we arrived, reception people were ok but they did not even offered to assist us, lead us to where we can wait till our room can be accommodated. Then, our dinner was served around 9pm already! Ang tagal ng set-up! It was by the beach and lighting was very poor, so you have to guess what kind of food is served. Our meal package is good for 3. We were served 3 viands (mixed veggies, 3 small pcs tilapia w/c i don’t even know what kind of sauce it has, 2cups rice, 2pcs small sliced watermelon & 2pcs small sized pineapple, 1 round softdrinks-coke/sprite). It was not good. Had I not requested the waiter for addtional food, that was our dinner “P316/head”. 2 liters of softdrinks was shared by around 20 people! The next day, my sis-in-law had breakfast first and she just got a small portion of food, when she returned at the breakfast buffet to get a second round, the crew told her that the buffet is only good for one round! Me and my hubby got our breakfast around 9am and there was no one there to serve/assist us. There were hardly no food left (tuna, egg, esp tocino-portioned into 3). Buffet lunch is by portion too! 1pc of each viand, though this time had 4 choices. Our ordered shakes/drinks took so long everytime as well as our ordered additional lunch. When we followed up, the crew we asked would not take responsibility in delivering our meals in our table (it was already labeled by my name and he said “di ko po alam yan!”. They knew they had a lot of guests, they should have added more crew to serve their guests! Or their few staffs could have been more friendly and accommodating. I felt they were very discriminating…sorry for the term but “yung feeling na ginugulangan mo sila” sa food…that they promote as “buffet” (1 time serving only and by portion!). We were suppose to have a relaxing weekend but instead got pissed with the kind of service we experienced at Laiya White Cove. I really want to pose this comment to warn guests who would go there… 🙁

I am not connected to the establishment so I cannot answer your inquiries. Thank you.

    To Jean,

I’m sorry to hear about your experience. Me and my friends usually go to Laiya during off peak season, maybe that’s why we have not experienced any bad service from them.

Also, the last time we were there – meals were optional, which means you can just pay for your lodging and pay per order in their cafeteria or eat somewhere else.

That’s what we always do. Sometimes, we would hop over to the adjacent establishment which is Kabayan Resort to eat in their cafeteria. On rare occasions, we would go to the town and take out food from there.

In any case, I do hope that the management of Laiya White Cove gets to read your comment so they can improve on their service.

Thank you for sharing your story here. I really appreciate the feedback.

i was wondering coz we were also there last holy week..me and my friends are regular customers of LWC, maybe becoz of their very accomodating staff, magandang lugar and lastly the quality of food they served…sorry to hear that sad experience of yours…

  18. Lyanne Nacario says:

  20. megan says:

Its sad to say , that I encountered that also with Laiya White cove Staff,. Definitely, they have the poorest Customer Service Ive ever experienced, they really need an improvement. From reservation & booking staff. receptionist and crews they were all disgusting. Sayang, maganda sna ung place kahit papano kaso their Customer Service really pulled them down. We thought that we will have a relaxing& happy outing but it became so stressful for us dealing this kind of staff. Very disappointing. I wont recommend this place to my friends & relatives. Guys, better find some other place.

id like to check this place.

  24. I Am Nicely! says:

White Cove is in my list for our Feb.22-23 out-of-town trip. The management replied to me via text and yes, it’s P4000/room for 2pax. Do u think it’s reasonable? I’m still on the process of canvassing resorts’ rates. Thanks for your help.

  25. dax73 says:

nice! baka naman binigay sa iyo ang pinaka prestige na room kaya ganyan ka taas yan. ask them if they have budget rooms for couple. The reason why we stayed at white cove is mura sila for 6 pax eh .. ako pa! if i say reasonable… its really reasonable. but yet, kindly double check na lang their tariff baka nag iba na rin.

  26. marco says:

This happens in the morning.

  27. kit says:

hi. we’re considering the white cove for our family gathering. Asked ng friend ko kung marami daw bang sea urchin sa beach? medyo worried lang. thanks! =)

  30. dax73 says:

    Ah wala naman po.

  31. JC says:

I’m actually booked for a vacation to the Philippnes in December, and travelling with ten other people. I’m in search of a nice beach resort to stay at for at least five days. Upon reading those negative comments about your service, I became iffy with my plan of staying at Laiya just becasue I am afraid I might disappoint my companies. Unless the management does something about it, and rectifies those negative feedbacks, I won’t book a reservation with you. For me, it is not only the place that counts, service plays a pivotal role, big time.

  32. amurita balyena says:

well,i juz noticed how UNPROFESSIONAL they r!they dont know how to sanitized..palagi nalang naki2pagtalo ang OIC sa mga staff at hindi mn lng inisip na mapa2hiya ang staff..

  33. Lorie says:

    is dog allowed?

kung wala po san po sa part ng batangas meron surfing area?
    thankyou po.

  38. Katrina says:

hello po. just want to ask if may surfing area ba ang Laiya Resort?

  39. dax73 says:

hello katrina, sa pag kaka alam ko walang surfing area ang laiya area or the entire batangas area. mahina ang alon doon. pinaka malapit lang dito sa manila ay san juan, La Union. If not, try mo sa Baler, meron din daw doon.

One of the best place to relax is in a beach resort which gives you a refreshing and a relaxing feeling. Every weekend I bring myself to a resort to experience fresh air and to be with the waves 🙂 enjoy your weekend guys. This is one of the best beach resort I’ve heard, someday I’ll be here.
